Genuine MAN lower housing for the oil trap on the D2842 LE443 and D2848 LE422, 634 grams. The lower half collects the separated oil and returns it, so its drain path is the part that matters: a blocked return fills the housing, and a full separator stops separating. Check that the drain is clear whenever the trap is opened, rather than only inspecting the element inside it. A return line that runs uphill anywhere along its route is worth examining first.
