About this part

Genuine MAN exhaust valve for the D2866 E, specified for engines fitted with the exhaust valve brake. On an EVB engine the exhaust valve does two jobs: alongside normal gas exchange, it is cracked open against cylinder pressure to bleed compression away and turn the engine into a brake. That duty loads the valve and its train in a way the standard part is never asked to take. The two versions are therefore not interchangeable, and the description flag is the only thing separating them in a parts list.
