Genuine MAN high-pressure injection line for cylinder 1 of the D2866 LE401. Lines removed from an engine should be treated as single-use: the shape is set at manufacture, and a line that has been sprung aside for access has been worked beyond that shape. Work-hardening at the bend leaves a weakened section with no external sign, and the failure that follows arrives at full injection pressure. Budget for new lines whenever a job requires them to be moved out of the way.
