Genuine MAN charge-air pressure valve for the D2866 LE401 and D2842 LE443. Symptoms of a charge-air control fault are easy to misread on a marine installation: low boost looks like a fouled turbine or a blocked air filter, and high boost may not be noticed at all until exhaust temperatures or fuel consumption are examined. Where boost readings have drifted, this valve belongs on the list of suspects alongside the turbocharger itself and the pipework between them.
