Genuine MAN oil pump body for the D2866 LE401 and D2866 E. The body is the pressure boundary and the reference surface for every clearance in the pump: gear tips run against its bore, gear faces against its end face, and wear on either shows up directly as lost pressure. Because the body is the part that wears in a defined pattern rather than failing suddenly, measuring it is the check that tells you whether a pump is worth rebuilding — scoring or a bore worn oval means the rebuild kit will not restore pressure whatever else is renewed. Where the body is sound, the gears and the end clearance are the economical repair; where it is not, the complete pump is the honest answer.
