About this part
Despite the name, both threads here are M14 x 1.5. What differs is the form — one end male and one female, or a different sealing face — since a fitting with two identical threads reduces nothing. The parts drawing is what shows which way round it goes. Fitting it the wrong way round is possible in some positions and leaves a joint that seals for a while.
