Genuine MAN fuel filter for the D2840 LE301 and D2866 builds. Fuel filtration protects the most expensive components in the engine: the injection pump and the injectors are lubricated by the fuel passing through them, so contamination wears them directly , and does more than foul a filter. That relationship is why fuel filter intervals are not negotiable in the way some maintenance is, and why a filter changed early is cheap insurance rather than wasted money.
