Genuine MAN fuel filter insert with drain valve in the RME-resistant specification, for the D2866 LE401. RME is rapeseed methyl ester — biodiesel — and it attacks elastomers and adhesives that petroleum diesel leaves alone, including those used in filter media and seals. Where a vessel runs biodiesel blends, whether by choice or because local supply is blended, an RME-compatible element is a requirement and not an upgrade. Where it runs mineral diesel only, the standard element is entirely adequate.
Supplied new, in the manufacturer’s packaging, with our warranty of up to 24 months.
