About the MAN D0826 series

The D0826 is MAN's six-cylinder in-line D08 diesel. It was built with two stroke lengths: the operating manual gives 108 × 120 mm and 6.6 litres for the D 0826 LE, and 108 × 125 mm and 6.9 litres for the D 0826 LE 201. Both have a turbocharger, an intercooler and an in-line injection pump. The same manual lists oil sumps for generating sets and for marine propulsion next to the standard and shallow ones.

That spread of uses shows in the parts. The designations in this series come down to a few part lists: LE521 to LE533 share one, LE100, LE102 and LE103 another, LE200 and LE400 a third, and the LUE501 and LUE503 a fourth. Some lists carry an engine-driven air compressor, the LUE and TUE lists also include final-drive parts and a refrigerant compressor, and only the LE200 and LE400 list a heat exchanger with tube bundles and a raw water pump; the other lists have fans and no heat exchanger.

For the injection pump, read the number on the pump plate as well as the engine designation: the LE201 pump in our list, 51.11103-7231, is one of the two numbers MAN's manual gives for that version.
