About the MAN D2876 series

On the D2866's 128 mm bore but with a 166 mm stroke, the D2876 displaces 12.8 litres. MAN's 2011 marine data sheets show its spread: the medium-duty LE402 gives 412 kW at 2,100 rpm with four valves per cylinder, while the heavy-duty LE403, LE406 and LE407 run at 1,800 rpm with two. The genset LE201 and LE203 have a Bosch in-line pump with an electromagnetic actuator.

In our catalogue the LE401 to LE407 share one marine list despite those differences, and the LE301 has a close list without most of the EDC electronics. The LE423 group (LE423, LE426, LE433, LE436, LE443) is the common-rail one, with high-pressure pumps and a rail pressure sensor. The LE201 to LE203 list is radiator-cooled, while the LE101 to LE106 and the LUE601 to LUE606 carry air compressors, and the LE10x list also EGR modules.

Because one list can cover engines with different cylinder heads or fuel systems, look at the head, the injection system and the turbocharger on the engine itself before ordering.
